A Classic Fall Staple

Happy Wednesday Friends!

I don’t know about you, but fall is my alltime favorite season. When the temperature starts to cool down, leaves start changing and of course pumpkin flavored everything; there is nothing like it. But sometimes I (like maybe some of y’all) have a hard time transitioning wardrobe wise into the cooler weather… Or you could be so ready for it to be cold you are already trying to squeeze any ounce of fall into your day-to-day outfits. Look no further than the ultimate classic wardrobe staple to get that perfectly autumn look.

Drum roll please, it is no other than a classic jean jacket.

So now that you know what the secret is… you might be asking, “now Ansleigh how exactly do I wear said jean jacket?” Well for your convenience I have chosen three different and fun ways to wear this gem.

Now let’s start with look no. 1…

I love how clean this look is… and it is a great way to tie in the white on white trend without being too much. I wanted the jean jacket to be the focal point of this look and the white on white leaves a blank slate to put in your own style and twist. The wine color of this purse and shoes was one of my favorites last year and I know it’ll be an essential for me this season. Any color combination can be added as the accent and even maybe a statement necklace to finish it off.

Now on to look no. 2…

Skirts and jean jackets are the first combo that pops into my mind when I thinking of pairing this piece. There are so many different ways you can go with skirts, patterned, solids or even suede. This was a really unexpected combination for me, but I must admit, I am loving it! It makes such a casual twist on a trendy look.

And last but certainly not least…

I love jean jackets and dresses. Honestly I think you can throw a jean jacket over almost any dress and it would be cute. But this use of a jean jacket is perfect for when the morning start to get a little chilly but the days are still warm… and of course for when you classes are freezing (like mine are right now)!

A big thanks to Madewell for reminding me how amazing jean jackets are. What really makes a big differences in these looks is having a quality jacket that will last years. Since receiving this piece, I have really noticed the quality and how it is made. This great company usually has 15% off for all college students, but until tomorrow Madewell is having 20% off in store only! Which goes a long way when purchasing a wardrobe staple.

I hope this post was helpful with y’all transiting into this cooler season! Have a great week.

XOXO

I’ve never seen a long monogram necklace like that before! It’s pretty cool. Also, I’m really loving that second white top with the triangle cut out! I didn’t see you say where it’s from though?

Thank you Caitlyn, I like it long but I am also thinking about getting it put on a shorter chain! That top is pretty old, I’ve had it for a couple of years and I don’t even remember where I got. I’m sorry girl!
