Urban Decay Naked SkinUrban Decay Setting SprayIT Brow Pencil

Happy Friday! I am so ready for this weekend, I start my internship on Monday so I will be stressing about that the rest of the weekend. 🙂

I know this is a different post than my normal. But today I thought I would share three of my favorite makeup products that I have recently found! These are absolutely amazing products and definitely worth sharing.

First I’ll start with the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation. I was using Stila foundation and loved everything about it except for the price and the amount of makeup it came with. It was a little more on the expensive side, which I would not have a problem with but it only lasted around two months. That just isn’t practical for me right now. So of course I headed to Ulta. The lady who was helping me was so nice and really knew what she was talking about. I explained that I wanted medium to full coverage like the one I was using but that lasted longer and would not make my skin look oily or shiny. That is when she suggested the Urban Decay Naked foundation, I would say it is more medium coverage but it is very layerable. This foundation is around the same price as the Stila (~$40) but I have already been using it for a couple of months and I have a ton left still. On another positive note, this foundation works for so many different skin types and ages. My mom actually uses this same foundation and her skin is oiler than mine. We both use a translucent rice powder to set our make up and it prevents oily patches appearing throughout the day. But I think it would suit dry skin types too because it is a liquid and you do not have to set it with powder.

On that same trip the lady suggested that I get the Urban Decay makeup setting spray and that will help my foundation to last all day and prevent oily patches from appearing. I was really skeptical about it at first but I knew that if it didn’t work Ulta had a great return policy and I could get my money back. Yeah, I didn’t need to return it. I honestly thought that it would not do anything. I sprayed it on before work one night not expecting much of a change… And I didn’t really think twice about it until I was removing my makeup with makeup wipes. I could not believe how much of my foundation was still on my face with just three little sprays!! This has become an everyday routine for me. But a quick tip, either spray it before you put on your mascara or after it has already dried. Because if you are like me then when you are spraying it you will scrunch your face a little and mascara will get everywhere, I learned the hard way!

Now on the the brow pencil… this was a much more recent trip to Ulta (actually when I got a haircut a couple of weeks ago). So I did not realize I had horrible eyebrows until I was on snapchat and you know the last feature past the face swap when it puts pictures of other people’s faces from your previous snap pictures on your face? Well I was trying to figure out what that was when my face got swapped with one of my friends who has great and thick eyebrows. It was like the glass broke. I have horrible eyebrows! I know that is a weird way to find out you have bad eyebrows but oh well! They are thin and pretty light compared to my haircolor. I told my hairdresser about it and she suggested two eyebrow pencils. But suggested me to use it sparingly (please don’t make yourself look permanently surprised) these are intended to help fill out eyebrows… not draw new ones. But I love how thin the pencil is and how it come with a brush attached to the other side and helps smooth things out and makes it look more natural. It was so worth adding it to this my ‘friday favorites’.

I hope y’all enjoied this different beauty post and sorry it was a little bit longer. Do you have any beauty products you swear by? Let me know in the comments!
