Glazed Almond Cookies

Christmas is only a few days away and you know what that means…. family will be coming into town! So of course you need cookies for everyone! If you saw my last post of The Cookie Swap then you know that my house has tons of cookies!

So I thought I’d share the cookies I made for the cookie swap and one of my all time favorite cookie recipes

Ingredients:

1 c Softened butter

2 c brown sugar

2 eggs

1 egg white

3 c flour

1/2 t baking soda

1/4 t salt

1 c chopped pecans

2c powdered sugar

1 t almond extract

2 T milk

directions:

  1. cream butter, brown sugar, and eggs
  2. mix in the egg whites, flour, soda, salt, and pecans
  3. drop teaspoon sized of dough 2 inches apart on a baking sheet
  4. bake 9 to 13 mins
  5. to make glaze mix powdered sugar, extract (I added more extract to taste), and milk
  6. Once the cookies cool spoon on glaze and top with sliced almonds.
